BIOGRAPHY Manuel became a Christian at age 15 and after being discipled became a Sunday School teacher and worship leader. In 1988 he began visiting Chiconautla to lead a Bible study. This group continued to grow into a church, and Manuel eventually quit his secular job to be pastor of this small flock of believers. He later finished his theology degree at Logos Bible College and was ordained as a minister, and in 2004 he completed his MA in Theology. Laura grew up in a Christian family and made a commitment to further investigate God’s call in her life for missions at the Urbana conference in 1987. A year and a half later she spent the summer serving through Spearhead in Mexico City, a life-changing experience. After graduating from Westmont College in 1990 with a degree in Intercultural Studies, she returned to Mexico for Spearhead’s one-year program, during which she met Manuel. Manuel and Laura were married 15 months later, and have served together in Mexico since then. About Our Family Psalm 127:3--Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a real blessing. We are blessed to be the parents of five children. We have chosen to home school our children and are currently in our eleventh year. It is a great joy for us to be directly and fully involved in our kids' growth and development in this way. Aside from ministry, as a family we enjoy camping, horseback riding, and other recreational activities. |

Kids "I like hanging out with the youth group and listening to Christian music. I am a HS sophomore, and I also like to spend time reading, playing basketball (I play on a team during the school year), and writing books (several in process)." --Emily
"I love to draw, read comics, and play with my siblings. I play the drums for our Sunday evening service, and also enjoy helping in the sound booth. I am in Sixth Grade." --Caleb
"I like dressing up in pretty dresses, playing with Nicolas, doing school work (Third Grade), and visiting the ladies in the church office. My favorite colors are pink and purple." --Kelly
"I love playing with Veggie Tales and other toys and drawing on our MagnaDoodle. I like to wear a suit on Sundays like Daddy. I'm in Kindergarten at home." --Nicolas
